While there is still some work to be done between the Australian and New Zealand Unions plus the Japanese Rugby Union as hosts, it does appear that they are close to finalising in the next few days whether the match will go ahead or otherwise.
These are the proposed details that we currently have on the match:
Date: Saturday 31st October, 2009
Where: Tokyo, Japan
After the success of the 2008 Bledisloe where we took over 2,000 Australians and Kiwis to Hong Kong, we expect this year to be just as big if not bigger now that our fans got a taste from last year’s tour.
Tokyo is home to some 12 million people and offers an incredible range of sights and activities to keep every traveller entertained. A first glance of the city’s modern skyscrapers, bullet trains and neon lights makes the city feel decidedly futuristic.
A little more exploring however, uncovers ancient temples, tea houses and martial arts schools sitting just a short stroll away from international financial headquarters and Prada showrooms – all indicative of the locals’ simultaneous embrace of Western lifestyles and their own carefully preserved traditions.
