2010 Australia v England - London

Tour Dates 12-14 November, 2010
Match Date Saturday 13 November, 2010
Venue Twickenham, London
Tour Duration 3 Days/2 Nights
The second fixture on the 2010 Spring Tour sees the Qantas Wallabies take on the old enemy England at the home of rugby - Twickenham.

This is the ultimate match for any Australian fan and there is nothing sweeter than beating England on their home turf. Twickenham will be at full capacity today and with our current winning form at this stadium, our boys should hold no fear for the upcoming clash.

Last year Robbie Dean’s men turned around a 9-5 half time deficit to end up running away 18-9 victors and also retained the Cook Cup in the process.

Twickenham

Twickenham, the home of English rugby, is owned and operated by the RFU.

In 1907, The Rugby Football Union purchased 10 1/4 acres of land in Twickenham to build a stadium for the exclusive use of playing rugby. Over the next two years the infrastructure was completed and the stadium, designed to accommodate 20,000 people both seated and standing was ready for use. The first match at the stadium took place in 1909 and the first international between England and Wales was played in January 1910.

After extensive rebuilding between 1981 and 1995, the stadium as we know it today was completed, with a capacity of 75,000.
