The Hong Kong Sevens Tournament is the spiritual home of rugby Sevens and also well known to be the world’s premier sevens event. Thousands of rugby fans make the annual pilgrimage from all over the world to Hong Kong Stadium for three days of great rugby and to soak up everything this great city has to offer.

In last year's tournament, Samoa took out the Cup against New Zealand which ultimately helped them go on to claim their first ever IRB Sevens World Series victory. Coming back from a 14-0 deficit early on in the final, the Samoans powered over the top of New Zealand for a 24-21 win in an epic match.
