Itinerary

Saturday 28 September, 2019 – Arrive in Tokyo & Welcome Drinks

Arrive in Tokyo and make your way to your hotel. After checking in the afternoon day is yours to relax or head out and start to explore Tokyo ahead of the first match of your tour and Australia's second pool match of their Rugby World Cup 2019 campaign. 


This evening you will join us at our welcome function (dinner & drinks included) where you will get the chance to meet your tour leader and fellow travellers before Australia's big clash against Wales tomorrow.

Sunday 29 September, 2019 – Australia v Wales, Tokyo Stadium

Enjoy today at your leisure.

This evening we will make our way to Tokyo Stadium for Australia's second pool match against Wales. Over the last ten years Australia has held the ascendancy in matches between the two sides, however these matches have always been tight affairs. Expect no less from tonight’s match as both teams look to assert their dominance early in the tournament in what is sure to be a memorable match!

Monday 30 September, 2019 – Full Day tour of Tokyo

This morning after breakfast we depart on a full day guided sightseeing tour of Tokyo with visits to Hamarikyu, Asakusa, Tokyo Tower Meiji Shrine and Harajuku.

Tuesday 1 October, 2019 – Flight Tokyo to Fukuoka

After breakfast this morning we will catch a flight from Tokyo to Fukuoka. After checking into the hotel, you will have the afternoon at leisure to explore Fukuoka.

Wednesday 2 October, 2019 – New Zealand v Canada, Oita Stadium

This morning enjoy free time to explore Fukuoka before we make our way to Oita for the second match of our tour. This afternoon we will make our way to Oita Stadium in Oita Prefecture for New Zealand’s clash with the Canada. There is sure to be plenty of entertaining action on the field as New Zealand will look to assert their dominance over the Repechage winner.

Enjoy a sleep in this morning as today is a free day. Enjoy a relaxing day at the hotel or get out and explore more of Fukuoka or take a day trip to one of the nearby regional areas.

Saturday 5 October, 2019 – Australia v Americas 2, Oita Stadium

Today we head back to Oita Stadium in Oita Prefecture, this time for Australia’s third pool phase match. We will be transferring to the match early this morning as the match is an early afternoon kick-off. Australia played against Uruguay in at the 2015 Rugby World Cup and put in a dominant performance as they secured a 65-3 victory. Australia will be looking to emulate this performance again today to build momentum into their final pool match.

Sunday 6 October, 2019 – Fukuoka to Osaka by Shinkansen

Today we will experience travel on the famous Shinkansen (Japanese bullet train) as we make our way from Fukuoka to Japans culinary capital, Osaka.

Monday 7 October, 2019 – Full Day Tour of Osaka

After breakfast this morning we will head out on a full day tour of Osaka including visits to the Umeda sky building observatory, Osaka Castle and the Dotonbori district.

Tuesday 8 October, 2019 – South Africa v Canada, Kobe Misaki Stadium 

Enjoy the morning at leisure in Osaka before we head through to Kobe this afternoon for this evenings match between South Africa and Repechage winner. South Africa will be looking to put in a dominant performance in their last pool match ahead of the quarter-finals. Get set for what is sure to be a spectacle of free-flowing rugby at its best!

Wednesday 9 October, 2019 – Free Day 

Take the opportunity to enjoy a sleep in or get out and explore Osaka. For those wanting to sightsee further afield, why not catch the train through to Kyoto for the day. The train ride takes less than 30 minutes and provides a great opportunity for you to explore Japans cultural capital.

Thursday 10 October, 2019 – Osaka to Nagoya by Coach 

This morning after breakfast we will travel by coach from Osaka to Nagoya. After checking into the hotel the afternoon is at leisure for you to head out and explore the city of Nagoya.

Friday 11 October, 2019 – Australia v Georgia, Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa

This morning is at leisure so why not go and check out Nagoya Castle or head to Ōsu to do some shopping ahead of Australia’s last pool match against Georgia.

Tonight’s match will be a momentous occasion as it will be the first time Australia and Georgia have played against each other. With the business end of the competition almost upon us, both teams will be leaving nothing on the park as they try to secure their spot in the quarter finals.
